A Credit Repair debt settlement focuses on settling your unsecured debts for less than what you owe. Unsecured debts include credit cards, store cards, personal loans, larger phone and utility bills. Debt settlements are rarely used to settle secured debts such as a home loan because the creditor is more likely to repossess a house than accept a payment for less than it is worth.
